DON'T DO IT

2/21/2026

“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him” (1 Corinthians 7:17).

One of the quickest ways to lose your joy is by comparing yourself to others. God has given each of us a unique assignment and grace. We are one body with many parts, and every part has a different function (Romans 12:4–6). Diversity is for unity and effectiveness—not competition.

A competitive spirit often flows from insecurity. But in God’s Kingdom, someone else’s success does not diminish yours. John the Baptist understood this when he said of Jesus, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). He was secure in his role and focused on fulfilling God’s purpose—not protecting his position.

You can be passionate and driven without competing. Stay focused on your assignment. Celebrate others. Guard your heart from envy and strife, because where strife exists, confusion follows (James 3:16).

Run your race. Embrace your grace. There is room for everyone in God’s plan.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

Father, I thank You for the grace on my life. I refuse comparison and competition. I celebrate the success of others and walk in love and unity. I run my race with joy and confidence. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
