“They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.” — Deuteronomy 32:47
I’ll never forget a defining moment just before I stepped into ministry. Alone in an empty, dusty classroom, I lay on the floor crying out to God about the weight of the assignment before me. I knew it wasn’t something human strength could accomplish—it had to be by His Spirit. So I asked: “Lord, what do You want from me?”
In my mind, I expected a heavy instruction: “Fast forty days” or “Pray all night.” But to my surprise, His response was simple:
“I don’t want anything but your obedience to My Word.”
More than twenty years later, that same instruction remains the key.
Beloved, our obedience to the Word determines the measure of our success in life. We cannot claim to live for God while ignoring His Word. To live for Him is to reflect the character of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.
God told Joshua:
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”(Joshua 1:8).
And to the new creation church He declares:
“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers”(3 John 1:2).
It doesn’t matter what your name is—Joshua, Antonia, Marcos, Abu, or Hernandez—the Word remains the only sure foundation for success. More than that, the Word is your very life.
David said: “Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I keep Your word” (Psalm 119:67). When you are rooted in the Word, no opposition—whether spiritual or physical—can prevail against you. If you’re established in God’s Word concerning health, even a diagnosis like cancer cannot withstand the Word on your lips. What’s inside you will eventually reshape the world around you.
That day in the classroom, the Lord reassured me: “Walk in the light of My Word, and nothing will stand against you. Everything you need for success and fulfillment will come to you before you even ask.”
That same promise belongs to you. If you will let the Word dwell in you richly and walk in its light, you will become a wonder to your world. The very things people fight and strive to obtain will flow toward you in abundance.
So, dear saint, grow in the knowledge of the Word, apply it promptly, and you’ll step into new dimensions of God’s provision and power. The world is waiting for the glory of God in you to shine forth. This is your moment to grow—and to glow.
Faith-Filled Confession
I give myself wholly to the Word of God. The Word builds me up and grants me access to all that is mine in Christ. I am dead to unrighteousness and alive to God. His nature is my nature, and I choose to live fully from my new life in Christ. Amen.
