DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING

07/17/2023

"God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" (Numbers 23:19)

There is no just reason to worry about anything. You should not worry about your family, career, health, or anything else! Jesus said in Matthew 6:30-34 (MSG), "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who do not know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes."

Worrying can be limiting. Consider the children of Israel, for example; the ten spies had facts to justify their fear and worry. They saw the size of their adversary through their own eyes instead of through the eyes of the God who had given them the land. They said, "We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them" (Numbers 13:13). Now, what they said may have been factual. However, in the eyes of God, it was rebellious. In other words, we rebel against God each time we take our eyes or attention off Him. Every time we worry or demonstrate fear, we undermine the power of God and more or less call God a liar.

Today, I want to remind you that there is no justification for anger, fear, or anxiety. If God said it, you can bet your life on it because He is not a man that would lie. Numbers 23:19 says, "God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?" So, if God has said anything, you can consider it DONE!

God bless you.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I have chosen to see my life through the lens of God's Word. I am not moved by what I observe with my physical senses but only by God's Word. I have been called to a life of winning. Therefore, I win every day. I confess that I am a victor; strong and healthy; wise and intelligent; rich and favored, and I will fulfill God's call on my life without reproach. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer Point for Today

1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

Let's pray fervidly in tongues of the Spirit and in accordance with the verses of Scripture above for all men, leaders, and nations.
