DIMENSIONS OF WISDOM: THE EPHESIANS 1:17 PRAYER

09/13/2023

"[Keep asking] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him." (Ephesians 1:17).

God had an end product in mind when you became born again. That end product was not a weak, defeated, sick, or confused individual. Romans 8:29-30 says, "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." That is to say, it was and still is God's dream for you to live a life full of glory. Well, God has no plans to achieve this end in His mind without you, and to do so, He will have to supply you with wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus. 2 Peter 2:3 says, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:" Praise God.

Someone may be asking, what exactly does a life full of glory look like? The answer is in John 14:12. Jesus says, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." Unless and until there is a consistent and deep interaction with the Spirit of God in the dimension of the revelation of Christ, John 14:12 will never come to fruition. Saints, a level of proficiency is required to reach the measure of the stature of Jesus that God preconceived you to be. And this takes intimate and consistent study, prayer,

and worship. However, developing the proficiencies to produce the stature of Jesus will bring you to Ephesians 1:17.

In today's theme scripture, Paul teaches us, by the Holy Spirit, to keep asking "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him" (Ephesians 1:17). This is the point where your spirit man leaps on the Word recklessly with the intent to be consumed completely by the Word. We know from Paul that there is a point at which Christ is expressed through our vessels, and through this prayer, we are to travail in our quest for God's wisdom until that point is reached.

How God will that every one of His kids will conform to the image of Christ completely. Only then will our world experience the true revival that comes from Christ.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am an embodiment of divine wisdom. Therefore I press in prayer that God would grant me a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I am no slothful in my demand for wisdom because I know that God, who gives liberally, will grant my request. Hallelujah

Prayer Point

Pray that God will birth and ignite in us an unquenchable passion for the lost.

Pray that our ministry will be received by those that we are sent to. Romans 15:30-31

Let's Continue to Pray that God's people will live revived, broken and awaken to God's will, grace, instruction, and correction in righteousness.

Let's Continue to Pray that God's people will live undistracted by the pleasures of this world. Also, Pray that none of us will yield to the demand of the flesh and the devil.
