"You are My witnesses,” says the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me."
—Isaiah 43:10 (NKJV)
In a courtroom, a designated witness is someone called upon to testify, providing evidence before a judge, jury, and the public. Their role is crucial: to support the plaintiff's case and challenge the defendant. Similarly, God declares, “You are My witnesses…” (Isaiah 43:10). This means that in the court of public opinion, whether God is questioned or praised, your role is to testify on His behalf.
You are not called to remain silent or to withhold your testimony, for doing so has significant consequences. Jesus said, “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33). To confess, as mentioned in Matthew 10:32, is to speak in agreement with what God has said about Himself.
So, what has God said about Himself? Dive into the Scriptures and discover for yourself. For instance, He has declared that He is not indifferent, as some might assume, but patient, not wanting anyone to perish without hearing your testimony that could lead them to change their minds about Him (2 Peter 3:9).
Brothers and sisters, you are the means by which God will be vindicated and accepted in the many courts of public opinion. You are the ones who must proclaim His wonders and faithfulness to a world in desperate need of hope, justice, and truth.
If you remain silent, people perish. If you hold back, they miss their divine destiny. It’s a misconception to think that people are fine simply because of where they live or how they were raised. The truth is, your testimony could be the very thing that transforms their lives.
If the Lord has designated you as His witness, there’s no escaping that responsibility. Nothing can revoke that designation, and it is on the basis of this calling that you will give an account at Christ’s judgment seat (2 Corinthians 5:9-11).
Be everything that God has called you to be.
Be blessed!
Faith-Filled Confession
I am God’s designated witness on earth. I feel the urgency to speak up for my Lord. I am continually grounded in the Word of God’s testimony and empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the purpose for which I was chosen. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer Direction
1. Pray against every claim of the spirit of rebellion on our children, declaring that it will be futile. Affirm that our children belong to the Lord.
- Psalm 127:3: "Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward."
2. Pray that our children bring honor and joy to their parents throughout this school year. Pray against any attempts by the enemy to use our children to hinder the grace of God in our lives.
- Proverbs 15:20: "Sensible children bring joy to their father; foolish children despise their mother."
