DEPEND ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

07/02/2024

"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God" (Romans 8:14).

Fulfilling your destiny in God is impossible without being filled with the Holy Spirit. This isn't about religious theatrics; it's about the Spirit's infilling that leads to submission to God's will. Romans 8:14 states, "Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God."

Jesus exemplified submission to the Father's will in everything He did. In John 12:10, Jesus said, "Don't you believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work." Jesus submitted His will, emotions, and body to the Father's will, even when it was inconvenient. His success in ministry can be credited to His complete submission and dependence on His Father, the Holy Spirit within Him.

Recognizing the importance of the Holy Spirit, Jesus said to His disciples, "And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." "And you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8). By sending the Holy Spirit, Jesus provided the recipe for success to the church. The Holy Spirit makes us witnesses—proof producers or God-witnesses. This is amazing! We are called God-witnesses. For the sake of humanity, God needed a witness. He sent us, backed by the Holy Spirit, to bridge the gap between the physical realm and the heavenly realm, granting access for the natural realm to encounter God. In other words, anyone who meets you ought to encounter and experience the presence of Jesus; when they encounter Christ in you, their lives are forever changed.

Brothers and sisters, we are the light of the world. We are more than messengers of the kingdom; we are the message. We are the message of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17 says, "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." And where is the kingdom? We are the kingdom of God invading earth with the presence of Jesus. We are here as liberators of men from darkness to light, from the power of darkness to the power of God (Acts 26:17-18).

Do you now see why it is impossible to fulfill your destiny without submitting to the leadership of the Holy Spirit? Yielding to the Holy Spirit requires yielding to the Word. The Spirit of God will never lead you outside of the Word of God. To be properly led by the Holy Spirit, you need to be acquainted with the Word. If your desire is to do things God's way, you need the Word of God to understand His ways. I encourage you to give yourself to the Word of God today and ensure you speak and act in accordance with the Word.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

I arise with a renewed dependency on the Holy Ghost. I recognize Him as the One at work in me, to will and do of His good pleasures. And so, I declare that I am yielded to the Lord today, and the results are evident in my life! Hallelujah!
