CONSCIOUS OF WHO I AM

“…this one was born in Zion.” — Psalm 87:4

Jesus said in John 17:16, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.” He was speaking about us. This means that although we live in this world, our true origin is heavenly.

To understand who we are, we must first understand who Jesus is. John 1:14 says:

“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

Jesus was the living Word manifested in human form. Though He walked among men, He was not ordinary. He carried the fullness of God’s nature and lived with complete awareness of His identity. That is why He could boldly say, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30).

Many people struggled with this because they only saw His outward appearance. They saw a man, but failed to recognize the divine life within Him. Yet Jesus pointed them to the Scriptures saying, “Is it not written… ‘You are gods’?” (John 10:34).

The truth is simple: when you are born of God, you receive His life and nature. You are no longer merely ordinary or limited by this world’s system. Psalm 82:6 says:

“You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.”

This does not mean we replace God. Rather, it means we are His children, carrying His nature, authority, and life on the earth. Just as children reflect the nature of their parents, we reflect the nature of our heavenly Father.

Because of this, you must refuse to see yourself as weak, defeated, or insignificant. You are born in Zion. The life of God is at work in you. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

God desires to express His glory through your life. He wants His love, power, wisdom, and grace to be seen through you daily. But this becomes a reality when you become conscious of who you are in Christ.

Walk in love. Forgive quickly. Refuse bitterness, fear, and offense. Live with boldness and confidence in God because that is the life of those born in Zion.

You are not ordinary. You are a child of God filled with divine life.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I am not of this world. I am born of God and born in Zion. The life and nature of God are at work in me. I walk in victory, love, strength, and dominion. I refuse to live as an ordinary person because Christ lives in me. Through Him, I have overcome the world. I know who I am. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
