CONCERNING THE SPIRITUAL: RADAR SYSTEMS

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant..." (1 Corinthians 12:1)

If you have watched any Navy or Air Force movies in which a combat situation arose, you might have been inclined to notice the use of radar systems to spot the movement of advancing enemy warcraft. Well, your case is no different, as you are in a long string of combat situations, too, requiring some maneuverability. The Bible tells us that "...we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). To help you maneuver in the spirit realm, God put an in-built radar system for recognizing all types of movements, friendly and enemy, through dreaming. 

Irrespective of the origin, a dream is a prompting of movements in the spirit realm. These movements may be in your favor or at cross purposes with the will of God for your life. Even if you don't understand a dream, your job is to pray over every dream you receive with diligence and awareness of the fact that you are in the middle of a war. Praying is how you take delivery of favorable movements and launch countermeasures to enemy incursions. Never allow a dream to pass into manifestation without issuing a prayer response.

The first thing to do when you wake up after a dream is to begin speaking in tongues, asking the Holy Spirit to quicken your mind so that you can get the interpretation. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come" (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit will guide you into the truth about the dream as you pray. And in case you dream and can't remember the exact details of what you dreamed about, the Holy Spirit can also bring it back to you as you begin to ask Him to quicken your mind. 

The second thing to receive is a strategy for dealing with the Information the Holy Ghost reveals about the dream. It's not enough to know the meaning of a dream or its implication, you have got to know what line of action to take. After Joseph received a dream warning him about an assault on the life of Jesus, he was given specific instructions: "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him" (Matthew 2:13). You will get instructions in the dream or as you pray afterward. Make sure you get the Holy Spirit's strategy for dealing with the dream.

Lastly, a dream is almost always an indication of something that is about to manifest in the physical realm. It is a signal from the realm of the spirit about something that is oncoming in a near or distant future. There is often a timeframe within which it must be dealt with; otherwise, it becomes an unchangeable fate. If you use your radar system correctly, you will never know a sudden mishap or accident. Far too many believers have been taken by mishaps, attacks, and accidents because they were ignorant of the spiritual radar system we have been granted and how to operate it. 

The mind of God for us in this hour is that, concerning the spiritual, we must be savvy enough to claim victories.
