COMPELLING A CHANGE: SEED FAITH

01/28/2023

"Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 4:23)

Our victory is a settled fact. The Bible says, "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). In other words, even if you were biologically born with a condition, according to the doctors. Or you were fired from your last job, irrespective of the reason. Maybe you were jilted or betrayed by someone you thought was the 'One'. In all of these things and more, you have passed conquering.

An illustration of what it means to have passed conquering or be more than a conqueror is when someone does a job and you get the salary to spend at the end of the month. You are the beneficiary of all that Jesus accomplished on the cross. When He said, "it is finished" on that cross, it was indeed finished. Your health, security, and fulfilment were guaranteed in His divine sacrifice.

Yet there are times when the rebel holders of authority, the flesh, the world and the cohorts of hell have tried to hold sway in your affairs by resisting your ordination as a beneficiary of their defeat. Like stubborn animals who have refused to submit to their rightful master, they have perpetuated symptoms, unemployment and unrighteousness for long periods in those who have not acted as though they had been put in charge. Get this, Jesus put you in charge before he left for heaven so we do not struggle with the flesh, the system of this world or the devil. In the face of seeming opposition, the Lord asked us to fight the good fight of faith, of which we have discussed meditation and faith proclamations; and serving Gpd'speople as tools for prosecuting a good fight of faith these past few days.

Another weapon in our arsenal is seed-faith. What is seed faith? Seed faith is simply connecting your desire to compel a change to an offering. The principle is simple. Proverbs 13:8 says, "The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke." A person's life is connected to his wealth because wealth, even the one that is inherited, involves the exchange of life. You give your time to create a business, product or service. You also give your time at a job for which you get paid. And even if you inherited the money you have now, someone exchanged life for the money. But this is not about money either. It may be something uniquely valuable that was purchased with money.

It, therefore, means that to compel a change in one's life, one may employ the means of seed faith.  When Araunah offered to give David his place as an offering to God, David rejected the offer because he understood the connection between a seed that is valuable to you and its potential to compel a change. In 2 Samuel 24:24, he said, "But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the LORD my God that have cost me nothing.” So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen."

In the same way, to compel a desired change or stop the encroachment of the flesh, the system of this world or the devil, you can release something valuable to you on the altar of God and name it the change it the change you want to see. And here is why you shouldn't just give an offering without naming it by faith. Galatians 6:7 says, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." The change that you give that offering for, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit is the change that you will get.

So let God guide you today. Maybe, you have been passed up for promotion several times while less competent people got theirs, don't despair. Maybe you have desired to have a child and conception has yet to take place. The change that you desire might be in a seed that you ought to release.

And someone new here might be saying, "Hmm, Pastor is after my money." Quite frankly, no. To you, I would ask that you make a study of Elisha and the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:8-37. The Shunammite woman's seed produced miracles that might not have been possible had it not been by seed faith.

Have a beautiful day.

Faith-Filled Confession

I compel a change by seed faith as I am led by the Holy Spirit. I declare that the seed of truth that I have received today via this devotional is growing into something stupendous such that I am a stalwart, making giant strides to reframe my world. In Jesus' name. Amen
