COMPELLING A CHANGE: MEDITATION AND FAITH PROCLAMATION

01/26/2023

"Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 4:23)

There are things that happen to Christians that even the heathen know should not. And yet, year in, and year out, these believers endure the shame of their situation without knowing what to do. For some they fast, pray and lament to God, outside of the prescribed order, waiting for God to do something. And if you are one of such people, you will still wait long because God will not do anything.

You are the one that will compel the change that you desire but you must first understand that the change that you seek is in your mouth. Romans 10:10 says and I paraphrase that with your mouth you will produce or compel your own salvation. Interestingly and as an aside, the word "salvation" is translated from the Greek word, "soteria" which means, "health, healing, deliverance, prosperity and preservation." In other words, with your mouth, you produce your health, healing, deliverance, prosperity and preservation. Glory to God.

Yesterday, we introduced the subject of compelling a change as a fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12 says, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." The Bible didn't say, fast and pray even though these are important. It didn't say cry to God for deliverance and it certainly did not say to beg the enemy to leave you alone. It said, "Fight..."

In Fighting the Good Fight of Faith to compel a change, one, two or all three styles may be necessary to deploy; meditation and faith proclamation, acts of services and seed faith.

That said, meditation conditions your spirit to help you make effective faith proclamations. Understand that the Word of God is your arsenal. Hebrews 13:6 says "God said...so that we may boldly say."

So get every scripture related to the change you want to compel and begin to meditate on them twice daily with religious consistency. Meditation could be pondering, muttering, vocalizing, visualizing and roaring the scriptures for 15 minutes at a go. Here is what will happen after some time. You will get a signal of victory in your heart. Peter calls it the "morning star". 2 Peter 1:19 says, "And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts."

After this morning star has arisen in your heart, your faith proclamations will be so targeted that your change will have no other option than to come into being. It won't be your faith proclamation but the faith proclamation of God Almighty flowing out of your mouth. It would come out randomly, in conversation, on your way to work and on your way back home. You'll just know that the matter is settled and the victory is yours.

Hallelujah!

Faith-Filled Confession

I compel a change by the word of God. God's thoughts are my meditations all day and at the point of His morning star arising in my heart, I announce a new season of change. I am a wonder to many. Hallelujah!
