COMPELLING A CHANGE: ACTS OF SERVICE

"Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 4:23)

This year, positioning yourself through acts of service is one of the things that will stand you out. What do I mean? Another way to compel a change is to serve God's people. The Bible says that "...God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister." (Hebrews 6:10). What it doesn't say expressly is that your work or ministry to the saints in any capacity is an act of faith, worthy of recompense. Understand this, Jesus says, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ (Matthew 25:40). This means that if you take care of children in the church as a ministry to the saints, you are doing it for Jesus. If you usher or organize in the church, you are doing it as an act of faith toward Jesus. 

Having established this, what does Hebrews 11:6 say? "But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." In other words, when you serve the saints you are diligently seeking the Lord. Glory to God! 

Now, taking it up a notch. You can tie your act of service in the house to a miracle change that you want to compel. If you are seeking employment, don't sit at home and watch television.  Tie volunteering at church to the employment you seek and don't quit volunteering after you get that job. The Bible says God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, not opportunists. 

That said, this Saturday, you will get an opportunity to compel a change if you are a resident at our Dayton campus. Don't miss this opportunity. If it is an addiction that you have tried to kick for so long, join a serve team and tie your deliverance to it. If it is a child that you desire from the  Lord, join a serve team. If you desire a change in your business, join a serve team.

Do not miss the stirring of the Holy Spirit for your change. And you that has been a member of a serve team, tie a change that you desire to compel to your service. God is not unjust to forget your labour of love. What you do for others in His house, you have done for Him. So include that change in your reward package and watch Him do exceeding, abundantly and above what you ask or think.

Fair-Filled Confession

I compel a change in my life through my service to the Body of Christ. I am a wonder to many and the glory of God is revealed in every area for which I desire a change. In Jesus' name. Amen.
