BECOME A KINGDOM BUILDER

01/15/2023

"But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love." (Ephesians 4:15-16)

When you grow up, one thing that comes naturally to you is taking responsibility in the house without being told. You see a need and go out of your way to meet that need. That there are needs that you can identify in the house of God or among believers, is almost indicative that you were designed to meet them.

That said, another instruction consequent upon our receipt of the message, The Year of Wonder is that you become a kingdom builder. In other words, you identify with your local assembly, community and family as an extension of the kingdom of God that you have been given a charge by the Lord to improve and then, you get to work immediately.

Maybe, you are a project manager in your work life, become a project manager for the kingdom. Enquire about projects that need to be managed and offer your skills. Maybe you cater, become a kingdom caterer. Offer to cater for kingdom events. The idea that God has of us is that we have all things in common and that everyone in the kingdom should be able to benefit from your placement among us.

Understand that so much is lost when we withhold the skills and knowledge from kingdom application. So the next time you are in church or among believers asks yourself how your skills, investment knowledge, and spiritual knowledge can enhance the well-being of others.

When the Bible said, "Through wisdom, a house is built..." in Proverbs 24:3, the word, "wisdom" is better translated as "skills". Apply your skills to the kingdom by first offering or volunteering them through your Pastor.

Understand that what you do for the kingdom is an investment and investments always have a return. So invest bountifully for a bountiful return.

Be blessed today in Jesus' name. Amen

Faith-Filled Confession

I acknowledge my skills and competencies before the Lord today and commit to deploying them for the advantage of the Kingdom. I am a kingdom builder and by me, the kingdom of God profits in delivering multitudes out of darkness into the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. Glory!!!

ONE YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Genesis 36-37; Matthew 12:1-21

DAY 13 OF 21 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER

Pray for children and young people around the world; that they be shielded from all evil and wicked devices of the enemy, rescued from wicked and unreasonable men, protected on every side, undistracted by negative peer pressures, but growing up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, fulfilling their purpose in Christ.

Pray also for their parents, teachers and minders, that they be guided in God’s wisdom to lead them in the way that they should go, causing them to be excellent in every way, to the glory of God. Hallelujah!

Pray that the young people will be on fire for God. That they will take over for God everywhere they go this year. Acts 2:2-4, Zachariah 8:23, Joel 2:28-32
