Be the Kindness of God to Your World

2/5/2025

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.” (Colossians 3:12-13)

Kindness is a consciousness that you put on through confession. Say it with me now: “I am the kindness of God to my world. I am kind and when people come in contact with me, they experience the warmth of God’s love because that’s who I am.”

Understand that kindness is tied to your identity. Looking at Colossians 3:12 again from the Amplified Bible, it says, “So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper]” In other words, on the merits of who you are, be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient. The Lord is asking you to deliberately let others experience heaven through you, wherever you are.

And kindness comes from the love of God in your heart; that capacity to accurately estimate another's worth. In John 3:16, we see God accurately estimating the worth of the world of sinners through love. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

When you accurately estimate others based on the word of God, you have no other recourse than to be kind to them; to go out of your way for them. And this is God’s dream from His church; that love will envelope our consideration of others so much that kindness becomes instinctive. You just volunteer to pick that brother or sister who needs to get to work on time. You open the doors for that stranger with hands full of grocery bags. You suddenly become the answer to every conceivable human need because you are loving like you should.

This is all your life, Child of God; becoming the answer to the cries for help around you; being there for others without their asking. In one instance, the Bible says, “But the multitudes saw them [Jesus and His disciples] departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him. And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things” (Mark 6:33-34). Jesus was all about perceiving and meeting the needs of others.

That is who you are too. Let the kindness out and let it move you to be the solution to the cries of many.

One simple act of kindness you can do right now is to pray in tongues for someone who expressed a need in the past week, asking the Lord to use you to minister to that need. It might have been a need for food, a car or growing their business. Pray today for that person and let God tell you what to do.

Have a great day.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am the answer to the cries of multiplied millions. I am positioned through love and kindness to go out of my way to be the solution, catalyst, teacher, nurse, miracle worker and inventor; to bring succour, relief and the warmth of God’s love to my neighbors in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer Direction

Luke 22:31-32

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

  • For all those whom Satan is stirring off the course of their calling in Christ through various temptations and trials.  Pray that their faith fail not, that they be strengthened by the Spirit in their inner man, triumphing by the Word sown in their hearts, & their faith prevails in all circumstances.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5: ”And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God”.

  • Ask the Lord to burden your heart with passion for lost souls.

  • Pray that new doors of opportunity for ministry be opened to us, and utterance be granted us to proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ unhindered, without fear or reproach, but in power and effectiveness.
