BE GRATEFUL FOR IT

12/8/2025

“I have glorified You on the earth; I have finished the work which You gave Me to do” (John 17:4).

Many people go through life hustling and striving, constantly chasing the next big thing. It becomes an endless pursuit—seeking value, relevance, and fulfillment in external things. Yet, no matter how much they attain, they remain unsatisfied. The issue is not what they lack; it is their lack of understanding of what has already been DONE for them. When you truly understand who Jesus is and what He has accomplished on your behalf, you will cease from unnecessary struggles. You will find rest, enjoy peace, and overflow with thanksgiving.

Jesus said to the Father, “I have finished the work You gave Me to do.” This means something has already been completed. As a Christian, it becomes your responsibility to discover what that finished work contains. Did Jesus do something about your salvation? Did He make provision for your healing? Has He supplied what you need for life and godliness? To find the answers, you cannot look at your feelings or your circumstances—you must look into the Word of God.

The Scriptures reveal the truth: your salvation, your healing, and your provision have already been settled in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 declares, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”Every blessing you will ever need already exists in Christ Jesus.

The fact that you may not yet see these blessings physically does not mean God’s Word has failed. Rather than evaluating the Word through the lens of your circumstances, choose to evaluate your circumstances through the lens of the Word. The Word of God is eternal and unchanging. Jesus said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”

So, child of God, don’t be overwhelmed by the size of your challenges. Lift your eyes and fix them on the greatness of the God who lives within you. Thanksgiving is an act of faith—not to be dictated by what you see or feel, for the Bible says our present circumstances are temporary. True thanksgiving flows from the revelation of what God’s Word says has already been accomplished.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us, “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”When you give thanks in all things, you are declaring that God’s Word is your reality, regardless of what you see.

Choose today to demonstrate your faith by being thankful for every good thing that has already been finished and settled for you in Christ.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

Thank You, Father, for blessing me with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. Thank You for all You have finished and provided for me. I choose to uphold the truth of Your Word above every circumstance. Your Word is my reality, and I give You thanks always. Hallelujah!
