"Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it" Proverbs 4:23 GWT
I grew up around church folks who pronounced death on their finances, children, marriages, bodies, homes, careers, and businesses. I heard statements like, "I have a dead-end job," "I am so stressed out by my husband," "This administration is killing my small business," "I am tired of being married," "my family is a mess," "someone should come get my kids before I kill them," and "my life is empty." They saw it as nothing more than stating the facts. However, they failed to realize that God empowers every man to create the outcome of their life. And when the harvest of their confession comes, they are quick to blame everybody— including God. If only such people realized that complaining and blaming others worsens things, and those who sympathize with them only help to send them to their early graves.
Contrary to popular opinion, no one is responsible for the outcome of your life but you (See Proverbs 4:23). Especially if that outcome has not been what you desired. Even if you are in a situation where someone failed to fulfill a promise they made to you, leaving you stranded, you still cannot blame them for the outcome of your life. Besides, if you had listened to the Holy Ghost, you probably would have avoided that situation altogether.
Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." So, if you find yourself in a disadvantageous situation or you see that your life is heading for the rocks, do not wait until you hit them. Use your tongue to turn to the path of life; make a detour right now. Complaining and blaming others will only make you bitter, angry, and unfruitful. Your way out is in your month!
The tongue, however, doesn't work on its own, as it is controlled and directed by the information in your heart. This is why you must make God's Word a vital part of your life. Colossians 3:16 says, "Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] {and} dwell in you in [all its] richness…" (AMP). If you can put the Word in your heart as often as you should, it will surely produce tremendous results in you. For when your heart is full of the Word, you cannot but speak it with your mouth.
See yourself as a pregnant woman who is advised to avoid certain foods or drinks. While the food or drink may not cause harm to her, the concern is for the baby. The same principle applies here. If you want to see a God change, stop hating and blaming others and take charge of your life. Steer yourself into the path of life with your confession.
Faith-Filled Confession:
I declare that I am a champion for life. Prosperity, favor, and victory are mine. I am making progress and moving forward and upward only. There's no stagnation in my life! I am a success because of the Holy Spirit. I have an excellent spirit, and I deal excellently in all my affairs. Hallelujah.
