"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." (Acts 20:32)
From time to time, it is important to remind ourselves of God's vision for us. The Bible says, "Then the LORD answered me and said: ‘Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he [or she] may run who reads it." (Habakkuk 2:2)
When God gives an assignment, He sets an objective, provides tools, and demands action. As a church, our mission is to build people up so they can claim their inheritance through sanctification. Not everyone who is sanctified will receive their inheritance in this life, but glory to God, we are called to receive and help others receive an inheritance among the saints.
How do we achieve this? Through His presence communicated by the Holy Spirit and the word of His grace. Jesus said, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth" (John 17:17). The word of God is our tool for sanctification. Specifically, the word of His grace is our divine assignment—it is the message of God's ability to heal, cleanse, forgive, innovate, save, and transform. The Bible contains messages of promise, judgment, and grace. Promises are prophecies, judgments deal with sin and death, and grace is about God sharing His life with us.
The presence of the Holy Spirit and the word of His grace not only heal but make us healers. They not only deliver but make us deliverers. This is how we accomplish the vision.
But how do we carry out this assignment? We are commended to God and His word. As we interact with the Holy Spirit through prayer and study the word of His grace, we gain the efficiency required to fulfill our destiny.
No matter where you are, this vision will manifest as you embrace it. In the office, at home, and in all walks of life, this mandate will produce results if you run with it.
Settle your mind on the fact that the Lord has asked you to build yourself and others through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and the word that communicates His divine abilities. This means praying and studying the Bible with His vision in mind.
Have a beautiful day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I am the vision of God embodied. I declare that I am helped by the Holy Spirit to realize God's vision in ways that bring glory to the Father while earning His loving approval with my thoughts, words, and actions every single day. With lifted hands, I praise the Lord Jesus.
Prayer Direction
Let’s begin with thanksgiving and praise for the gift of life and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in us. Acknowledge all the benefits of our salvation, including healing, victory, wisdom, promotion, and favor.
Pray that every member of your family is guided by the wisdom of God in their family, relationships, jobs, business ventures, and partnerships. They are constantly led by the Spirit of God and guided away from error and poor decisions that may incur losses or negative effects on them (Isaiah 30:21; Isaiah 58:11; 1 Corinthians 1:30).
Pray for those who have been inconsistent in their faith, that they are no longer children tossed to and fro, and that Christ may be formed in their hearts as they are strengthened in the things that are most surely believed among us (Luke 1:3; Ephesians 4:14).
