"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces" (Psalm 122:6-7).
There is a continuing call to pray for Israel and the US Congress because both situations, however unprecedented, are connected to the advancement of the Word of God in America and the world at large. When these types of strife or distracting divisions arise, there is always an instigator and a target. Mark 4:17 gives us some intelligence about these types of events. It says that "...tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake...[causing the weak and distracted to stumble]."
It may not seem apparent but the Church is the ultimate target of these events and we must pray. As an allegory to the Church, Jeremiah 29:7 (Amplified) says, "Seek peace and well-being for the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf; for in its peace (well-being) you will have peace." The "city in exile" here is the Church on earth, and because its peace is at stake, we must pray.
Acts 12:5 tells us, "Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church." James had been executed, and Herod saw that it pleased the enemies of the Church, so he was incentivized to take Peter. How did the Church respond? They prayed. The existential threat was well perceived and they prayed.
When Paul was stoned at Lystra and had possibly been killed, the Bible says the Church gathered around him. It wasn't to party, they prayed. "Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city. And the next day, he departed with Barnabas to Derbe" (Acts 14:19-20).
Saints, the sudden removal of the Speaker of the United States, and the sudden coordinated land, sea, and air assaults on Israel have the wisdom of the enemy written all over it. James 3:15 says, "But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic." In both events, we have instances of bitter envy, self-seeking, boasting, and the overthrow of truth, so we must pray for a restoration of peace.
So, how do we pray? 1 Timothy 2:1-4 is the assault weapon we must turn to in this hour and apply with constant pressure until God's will is established. It says, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Declare that the peace of God overtake every party inherent in both events today so that only God's will, which is that all be saved and know the truth of the Gospel, prevails.
Have a blessed day!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I collaborate with the Holy Spirit today to produce unity, peace, and progress between the State of Israel and Hamas and within House Republicans and House Democrats in Congress. I declare that every masked agenda and identity of the enemy is quickly exposed, and the God-course is the choice course by all parties in both events. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Points:
Declare that the peace of God overtakes every party inherent in both events today so that only God's will, which is that all be saved and know the truth of the Gospel, prevails.
Pray against all sinister plans against the church in the United States.
