5+ME: INVITE

"Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” (John 1:45-46)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ needs you to open your mouth. The only way people are going to hear the gospel is not just by your prayers but by your words. If you are going to reach at least five people and get them saved by the end of the year, it will start with you saying like Philip to Nathaniel, "Come and see." 

Maybe you are saying I don't know how to preach the gospel like Pastor or the life group leader, it is okay.  If you have prayed and God has given you opportunities to share the gospel with friends, colleagues and family, as He said He would, then all you need to share is your testimony and an invitation to the people with whom you share your testimony to "Come and see." And if you cannot pinpoint a testimony, share one from any of our shared testimonies. 

Understand that you have been sent to everyone in the country where you live, the profession, family, school and company of which you are a part. But if you don't invite the people in those spaces, how will they ever hear the gospel? How will you please the Master against the Last Day? Romans 10:14-15 says, "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Saint, recognize that you are sent to be God's extended hand of invitation to the people of the world. This is not about you but the Master who desires people in your spaces. Let them see Jesus inviting them through you.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am God's invitation to my colleagues, friends, family members and neighbours. I am under the influence of the Holy Ghost today so much that when I say, "Come and see", a hunger to meet Jesus wells up in the hearts of my invitees so much that they can no longer resist the draw of the Master. I pray in Jesus' Name. Amen
