5+ME: INVEST

"My little children, for whom I labour in birth again until Christ is formed in you..."(Galatians 4:19)

After you have prayed for and invited the people that God has supplied you to "Come and see" Jesus during the 5+ME Campaign, the next step is to invest. And there are two types of investments; the prayer investment and the fellowship investment.  The need to continue to invest steadfastly in the new people that are joining our ranks is all important. "Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." (Acts 2:41-42). 

The means by which you will conduct this ministry is by the process of follow-up. What do I mean? You ensure that you play the role of a shepherd by ensuring that these new converts participate in our daily activities through exemplary leadership. You ensure they participate in the daily morning prayer conference call, our weekly meetings and the weekly Friday fast. 

One of the things you must understand is that soul winning may be individual in nature but soul development is a corporate exercise which we do together. Peter may have let down his net for a catch but he required the help of Jame and John to manage the haul (Refer to Luke 5:4-11).

Another means of investing is through your private involvement in prayer for the ones whose conversion you are directly responsible for. Last year, we launched by the Spirit, our CODE RED campaign to imbue private intercession projects among Residents and Partners. God was training us to use that training to invest in the souls of new converts. So I urge you to keep a list of people you are praying for in a diary, write prayer points beside their names and pray every day until you see what you are saying to the Lord about them. Be like the Prophet who announced,  "For Zion’s sake, I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake, I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns." (Isaiah 62:1)

Lastly, use our devotionals as a personal follow-up tool. Be amiable enough that the devotional becomes a tool for engagement and conversation with new converts. Be a publisher of the Grace Daily Devotional. Psalm 68:11 says, "The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it".  

This investment is an investment with an unimaginable return. Jesus said, "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name." (Revelation 3:12). So make this investment of prayer and fellowship with a mindset of a reward.

Faith-Filled Confession

I am an investor in the lives of others, in prayer and doctrine. And I recognize my role as God's representative in the conversion of five other people this year. I desire that only Jesus will be glorified through the investment of my life in the 5+ME campaign. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
